‘Parallel Lines’ A short poem and sketch about love and distance. As lovers, we can be so connected but we can also feel quite distant. When you lose love, it might feel like you will never connect with that person again. New love can seem as if we are destine to have our lives run parallel to another while never having the opportunity to truly connect.

I’ve been tossing
in my bed
and all of my thoughts
are you again

I’ve been missing you
like parallel lines

I want us to connect again
and make a ring of permanence

Maybe then we’d be more refined
and you would be mine.

‘Parallel Lines’ is a poem from a collection of works I found within my various notebooks and hard drives. Some verses may be accompanied by sketches and others by much more.

Thank you for your time.

My first book of short poems and sketches will be self published in soon. Until then, I will be releasing some of my writing on Medium as well as on my Instagram. You can find more of my poetry and artwork on my personal Instagram account. To expand on the experience, I have animated some of my favorite poems for YouTube. If you are familiar with my music, the songs I used might seem familiar.
